Got any suggestions for more rides in Orange County? We can use some routes in the ten to twenty mile range. Give us the start point, and when is a good start time, and who might lead it! Send info to MTB Webmaster. We'll also entertain suggestions for rides in other counties. If you know of other organized mountain bike rides in Orange County, please let us know, and we will put the information here.

Orange County riding on your own: Try the following locations:
Fullerton: The Fullerton Loop. Park in the southeast end of the North Orange County Court House parking lot, located just off Harbor Blvd.
Orange County Parks have these places to ride:
Chino Hills State Park. Excellent rides for beginning and the intermediate riders, which start at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. From the 57 Freeway take Lambert Road East. You can pay the parking fee ($2 weekdays, $4 weekends) or continue 100 yards past the entrance and park in the dirt on the left side of the road. Phone 909-780-6222.
Irvine Regional Park. A 477-acre park with several miles of trails and a lagoon. Entrance to the park is at the southwest end just north of the intersection of Jamboree Road and Santiago Canyon Road. ($2) Phone 949-633-8072
Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park. Popular with novice to more advanced mountain bikers. It can get crowded on weekends. Remember to yield right of way to hikers and riders on horseback. Entrance to the park is on Portola Parkway at the north end of the Foothill Ranch Marketplace shopping center. ($2) Phone 949-589-4729.
O'Neill Regional Park/ Arroyo Trabuco Wilderness. The northwest end of O'Neill Regional Park provides some good short climbs and descents along single trak and fire roads. The Arroyo Trabuco Trail is a scenic ride along a stream bed. Main entrance is at the north end where Live Oak Canyon Road becomes Trabuco Canyon Road. ($2 weekdays, $4 weekends) Phone 949-858-9365
Crystal Cove State Park. These 2700 acres of coastal hills offer pleasant riding in Moro Canyon along with steep and often loose ascents and descents along the ridgelines for the more advanced rider. Entrance is 1.8 miles south of Newport Coast Drive or 2.9 miles north of Laguna Canyon Road on Pacific Coast Highway. ($6) Phone 949-494-3539
Aliso & Woods Canyons Regional Park. This park along with the Laguna Beach Greenbelt comprise 5000 acres of arguably the best mountain biking that Orange County's park system has to offer. Most trails are suitable for intermediate to expert riders. The east entrance is off Alicia Parkway just south of Aliso Creek Road on Awma Road. ($2). Free parking is available at Alta Laguna Park at the north end of Alta Laguna Blvd. Phone 949-831-2791
